Ashhurst Aquatic and Fitness Centre	Swimming lessonsBabies & Parents, Toddlers, Pre-School, School Age, Squad, Adults. We use the Total Immersion method of beautiful and graceful swimming: www.totalimmersion.net. Winter 2014 swim school from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.Swim and gym times for Winter 2014Monday to Friday: 6:30am to 10:00am; 5:30pm to 7:30pmSunday: 1:00pm to 5:00pmBirthday PartiesIf you wish to hold your child's birthday party at the pool you are most welcome to do so. The cost is $2.00 per child if you wish to do this during public swimming hours and we will supply balloons and table coverings for the group. We will have the tables and chairs set up for you and section off an area for your use.If you wish to book the whole pool for your child's party, we can take bookings for weekends from 10am to 11:30am. This would include the use of the small bouncy castle (if not out for repair), flotation devices and the Aqua Run (if not out for repair - 8 years and over) for the 25m pool. It will also include balloons, chip[pies, table coverings, serviettes and flags for the party. The cost is $90.00 and also includes an AA&FC staff member to help with supervising games in the pool and swimming. Ashhurst Bowling Club	The Ashhurst Bowling Club is one of 16 sister clubs within the Manawatu for the sport of outdoor bowls. The season generally runs from mid September to mid April each year and people of all ages and gender are encouraged to become members.	View Map
Manawatu Home Budgeting Service Inc.	The Ashhurst Service is an outpost of the Manawatu Home Budgeting Service Inc. The Ashhurst Service sees clients by appointment. Accommodation and facilities are currently provided by St Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, Cambridge Ave, Ashhurst. One on One Advice includes Rescue or Crisis advice and On-going support through regular contact. Sorry, our service does not undertake custodial budgeting – we do not take your money and pay your bills for you. We do offer free, confidential, non-judgmental budgeting assistance: Budget Work Sheet to support application for assistance to Work and Income; Cash flow sheet, allocating next income payment; Statement of Means to support Creditor negotiations to set up affordable payment arrangements; Advice and assistance relating to insolvency procedures: Summary Instalment Order, No Asset Procedure, Bankruptcy. Pohangina School Reserve	The group is a registered charity. The Pohangina School Reserve is a community recreational park available for use by families and community groups. It features 100 yr old restored school building & landscaped grounds including swimming pool, tennis court, playground, toilets & BBQ. Grove of the Four Dragons	This open-to-all, community-based grove gathers several times a year--especially at solstices and equinoxes--to bring people together to support one another's spiritual development, to build a sense of community, and to participate in ceremonies that honour the participation of humans in the natural world. The grove is led by Adrian Bill Phillips, a Druid Of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. "Wild Bill" also offers Druidic services in a variety of other contexts, e.g. weddings, home and business blessings, naming ceremonies, and more.	View Map

Victim Support	Victim Support is a community agency that offers 24-hour support to people who are affected by crime or trauma. Examples of support provided may include immediate support in a crisis, ongoing support/referral to specialist agencies, support through court trials and hearings, help with Victim Impact Statements, and financial assistance. Ashhurst Athletics Club	We run weekly meetings over the two summer school terms on a Tuesday night at Lincoln Park down Lincoln Street. We cater for 3 year olds up to 13 year olds and provide tuition and support in track and field activities.	View Map
Palmerston North Community Patrol (incorporating Ashhurst area)	While Ashhurst residents are sleeping at night 2 members of Community Patrol are out in our marked vehicle patrolling the streets acting as eyes and ears for the Police taking some responsibility to help make our community a safe place in which to live and work. Volunteers are rostered to do a 4 hour shift approximately once a month. Members know they are doing a worthwhile service to the Community and get satisfaction knowing they are helping others.
