Activities available
While Ashhurst residents are sleeping at night 2 members of Community Patrol are out in our marked vehicle patrolling the streets acting as eyes and ears for the Police taking some responsibility to help make our community a safe place in which to live and work. Volunteers are rostered to do a 4 hour shift approximately once a month. Members know they are doing a worthwhile service to the Community and get satisfaction knowing they are helping others.
Events
Patrols around the area. We are also available to patrol occasional events e.g. The Annual Gorge Walk – we can guard the carpark against theft from cars etc. while people are walking the track. We take part in the Ashhurst Christmas Parade each year.
Volunteer opportunities
We need more Volunteers, the more patrollers the stronger in the fight against crime.
