- To maintain information for civil defence purposes, including information about social networks and local resources (hidden from public view); This information has been volunteered by the organisations listed and is shared with the Emergency Response Team and Ashhurst Police.

| Ashhurst Art Explorers |
Meets at: The Anglican Church Hall, Cambridge Ave., every Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Art Explorers are a group ranging from absolute beginners to experienced artists. There is no formal teaching: group members encourage each other and those with a bit more experience are very happy to offer advice and demonstrate their methods. There is no subscription fee and free tea or coffee. |
| Ashhurst Athletics Club |
We run weekly meetings over the two summer school terms on a Tuesday night at Lincoln Park down Lincoln Street. We cater for 3 year olds up to 13 year olds and provide tuition and support in track and field activities. |
| Ashhurst Bowling Club |
The Ashhurst Bowling Club is one of 16 sister clubs within the Manawatu for the sport of outdoor bowls. The season generally runs from mid September to mid April each year and people of all ages and gender are encouraged to become members. |

The ABP parish is part of the Manawatu Region of the Methodist Church of New Zealand, administered through a office located at Wesley Broadway Church in Palmerston North. Monthly services are held at Pohangina on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10.30 a.m. |

The APB parish is part of the Manawatu Region of the Methodist Church of NZ; administered through the Wesley Church Office, Broadway, Palmerston North. Two services at St Johns Church Ashhurst monthly. Also every 5th Sunday during the year. St Johns Youth Group every fortnight. Ashhurst Country Craft Group 1st and 3rd Monday. |

| Ashhurst GirlGuides |
For Girls aged 7 to 14. Follows the Guiding New Zealand program (see website). Girls have the opportunity to work in small groups and as individuals to complete Guide, Brownie and Pippin badges of varying topics. Meetings: weekly during school term time at the St Magdalene Church Hall on Wednesdays (5 - 9 ½ year olds 5.30 to 7pm and 9 ½ to 14 year olds 7 to 8.30pm) |

Teaching gymnastics for ages 2 ½ up to approximately 13 years of age on Wednesday afternoons at the Village Valley Centre |
| Ashhurst Indoor Bowling Club |
Meets weekly from 3rd week of March to 1st week of October in the Village Valley Centre at 7.30pm. There are social and competitive options including the Nationals which are held annually in June. Summer Club play is also available. National Fees are required on an annual basis. Students over the age of 13 are welcome with the opportunity of playing Junior Representative Bowls. |
